You may have read on the official website that after years of promises Killie are finally launching Killie TV or Killie World as it is being called. The website explains Killie World as follows: "We've just launched our spanking brand new online season ticket, Killie World. What's an online season ticket? Well, if you miss SPL Live at the weekend, don't worry, you'll be able to catch all the action with our exclusive video highlights. Included in these exclusive highlights is the team's great 2 -0 victory over Hearts at Tynecastle. Plus coming soon to Killie World is exclusive audio commentary of every game played at Rugby Park. At just £25.00 annually (direct debit) Killie World is a great way to support the team and feel a part of the club."
This should be a great facility for many fans, especially exiles staying
overseas, but our version of Killie TV should have happened long ago. In
March 2004 we approached the club to talk about starting Killie TV. We

We don't want to be negative at the launch of Killie World but this should
all have been done 30 months ago and we'd have been the envy of other
clubs rather than just churning out something that has already been done
by umpteen others. The product may look a bit more polished and
professional than the club could have produced themselves at the outset,
but it’s all a bit ‘assembly-line manufactured’ looking and could do with
some more ‘fan-friendly’ content to set it apart from the sterile
environments that are the Rangers and Hearts official sites. Hopefully
after such a long wait the club have plenty in the pipeline and get an
uptake that makes the expense worth while. Proud to be a Killie We couldn't let the column go by without a mention of last week's memorable victory at Tynecastle. As expected though the television and newspapers were full of Hearts troubles rather than concentrating on what turned out to be a superb Killie display. We weathered an early storm, scored a fine goal then controlled the rest of the game. Every player from Big Smiffy through to the classy Fernandez was outstanding and it was one of the occasions at full time when your chest puffed out and you felt incredibly proud to follow Killie.
Meaningless Drivel Danny Invincibile stays in a house and has a pet iguana, there are quiet a few players with hairy arms but some are hairier than others and David Lilley’s favourite thing to eat is…wait for it…food. Think they’ll let us have our gig back at the Standard?
