The Do You Remember feature
now turns the
spotlight on George McCluskey whom Tommy Burns brought to Rugby Park
in the twilight of his career...
'Toby' as George was
nicknamed, was one of the most skilful players in Scotland over the
last few decades. Never the quickest player but he made up for a lack
of pace with great positional sense and an abundance of skills. George
was signed in Season 1992-93 and played his part in Killie being
promoted to the Premier League.

Playing up front with
Bobby Williamson,
Toby played 29 games scoring 11 goals in his first season and played
16 games in the Premier Division before moving to Clyde. George who
also played for Celtic, Leeds United and Hibs enjoyed a fine career in
the game and his delicate touches & passes will be remember by all who
saw him play.
