Other Career Highlights:  Part of the Willie Fernie promotion winning team in 73-74, that scoring 96 league goals, that Jim must have supplied 25 of the serves into the box that Killie's Fleming or Morrison converted. From 68-71 played on the left wing opposite Tommy McLean, giving Killie one of the most attractive attacking formations in Scotland.

With the breakthrough of youngsters Gordon "Casper" Smith & Davie Provan, Jim Cook was sold by Killie to Dumbarton for 12K, in 1975.
