Panikvar had impressed on trial and in a friendly against Sunderland but will have to wait a while longer to make his competitive debut.

Manager Kenny Shiels is looking for the midfielder to make a big contribution this season but thinks he is not quite ready to make his debut against Hearts on Sunday.

"We feel he has the European experience and fits into our system and fits in to our budget," said Shiels
