Lossiemouth v FC Kilmarnock

On Sunday FC Kilmarnock travelled to the other end of the country to play their second league game of the new season away to Lossiemouth. Despite the 500 mile round trip the visitors started the game impressively and began creating chances straight from the kick off. After a few near misses it was captain Angie Hind who opened the scoring from a defensive blunder after 13 minutes.

From then on the home team were run ragged as Kilmarnock passed the ball around fluently creating chance after chance. Despite some heroics from the Lossiemouth goalkeeper it was only a matter of time before the floodgates opened…. And they did with the visitors notching 6 goals in the first half, courtesy of Hammill, Kerr, McLaughlan, Sneddon and Hind.

The second half continued in much the same vain with an additional 4 goals being added to the tally including second goals for Hammill and McLaughlan and a deadly double strike from Sarah Hough in the last 5 minutes.

Confidence is high as the girls use every game as the opportunity to prepare for the European challenge in September. This Sunday FC Kilmarnock take on Raith Rovers at Hurlford Juniors Park, 2.00pm kick off – come along and lend your support !
