League Leaders In 12 Goal Thriller!

FC Kilmarnock's Divisional team battled hard to hold league leaders Carnoustie BYC to a high-scoring draw. Having played a poor first half and drawing 3-3 at half time, Killie went on to dominate the game second half.

With Killie leading 6-3 for most of the second period, Carnoustie were awarded and scored two penalties, both of which the Killie side felt were unjust, narrowing the margin to 6-5. Things got worse for the Killie side when Claire McKinna was given her second yellow card for handing the ball.

Carnoustie scored yet again in the final minute, grabbing an important draw against a Killie side that lacked several influential players. This meant Naomi Johnstone and Gillian Cree, Sarah Paterson and Christine Divenny were all given their chance and each played a great game. 

The girls management would like to congratulate the whole team on their fine performance, and although they felt a win was deserved, a draw was good enough. 

Daziel (2), Lynsay McQuade(2), Lynsay Bain and Christine Divenny grabbed the goals.
