Killie slipped out of the top 6 into 8th
after their 3rd consecutive away SPL loss. Two late goals from Gavin
Rae and Fabian Caballero rescued three points for Dundee at Dens Park.
It looked like it was going to be a dream
debut when former Troyes forward Samuel Boutal gave Kilmarnock the
lead after a goalless first half.
But Scotland midfielder Rae and Argentine
forward Caballero struck to give Dundee a deserved victory.
Both managers had made alterations after
disappointing results last weekend.
Killie boss Jim Jefferies made five changes
from the side that lost 5-0 to Celtic.

Boutal, who signed in midweek, was given a
debut alongside Kris Boyd up front in place of Jose Quitongo and Paul
di Giacomo.
Jefferies also recalled Gary Locke, Freddy
Dindeleux and Gary Hay, with Peter Canero, Jesus Sanjuan and Chris
Innes dropping out.
Dundee's Nacho Novo wasback in place of Juan
Sara, who was ineffectual up front in the 1-1 draw with Motherwell,
but the Argentine kept his place when Steve Lovell pulled up injured
during the warm-up.
Midfielder Giorgi Nemsadze returned from
injury to replace Lee Mair, while Garry Brady replaced injured
defender Tom Hutchinson.
Dundee thought they should have had a penalty
after only three minutes when Jonay Hernandez fired in a free kick
that struck Alan Mahood on the arm as the midfielder was standing in
the defensive wall.
But referee Craig Thomson ordered a retake
outside the box and the second attempt by Hernandez curling into the
arms of goalkeeper Gordon Marshall.

Killie came close when a low drive from the
edge of the box by Steve Fulton flashed just wide after 20 minutes.
Young Dundee defender Dave MacKay should have
opened the scoring when he dribbled past three men but shot straight
at the goalkeeper's legs.
Novo should also have done better when a
cross from Brady found the Spanish striker unmarked 16 yards out after
33 minutes.
But his volley attempt struck the ground
before bouncing straight into the arms of Marshall.
Dundee's Lee Wilkie almost broke the deadlock
from a corner shortly after the break when his header was cleared off
the line by Hay.
Boutal came into the action at last, latching
on to a Fulton pass into the box only for his shot on the turn to
trundle weakly into the arms of Julian Speroni.

The Frenchman eventually opened the scoring
when Fulton set him up with an easy chance after 65 minutes.
But Rae struck the equaliser with a low drive
from 18 yards after 76 minutes.
And, after Novo had squandered a couple of
late chances, Caballero struck with a low drive in injury time to send
the home fans happy, and continue the Killie fans misery.
