Sorry
we never did a real match report from this game but Allan and I were both
away from home at the time and by the time we got back it was a bit
pointless. Suffice it to say the ground was only slightly better than
Scummerset and the chilling wind played a large part in the low scoreline.

Lisburn have just been newly promoted to the
Irish top flight and are managed by Hearts youngster Andy Kirk's dad. They
are no great shakes to be fair and amid all the Killie subsitutions, Peter
Cannero scored the two goals that saw Killie win the match.

Jim Jefferies watched most of the action from the
stand with Jim Stewart and Ian Durrant pulling the strings from the
dugout. Billy Brown was down passing on instructions about who was coming
off etc. in the second half. Trialist Santos appeared in the midfield in
the second half and while looking okay, did no more than the rest of the
team.

Was it a worthwhile excercise? I'm not really
sure. It can't be bad thing fitness wise but I'm not sure that the players
were really tested at all. In fact they probably lowered their game to the
level of their opposition - I thought we usually only did that in the cup!
Highlight of the day was
actually getting a mention in the match programme as the editor had used
the killiefc.com site to write the programme. He did ask permission first
of course and parted with a few freebies on the day, so fair play to him.
Low point of the day was getting mentioned AFTER one David Woodison of the
Official web site - what a bummer!
