JIM JEFFERIES last
night signed up French striker Samuel Boutal to help Kilmarnock's
ailing front line.
The 32-year-old
until the end of this year after chasing him for the past few weeks.
Boutal has played
for Bordeaux and Troyes but was released in the summer and was without
a club when the transfer window closed.
The switch could be
more permanent if he impresses.
Killie have lost
several key players (McLaren Dargo) in recent weeks and has been
forced to throw young striker Paul di Giacomo back into the frame
despite him not being 100 per cent fit.
Jim Jefferies
said: "Samuel took a bit of a gamble in the summer holding
out for a move but that backfired on him and he was left without a
team.
"He's got a great
track record and while he's nowhere near fully match fit yet I would
hope to play him in the team in the near future.
"He's very
experienced and played for some big clubs and certainly has the talent
to do well for Kilmarnock."
