Stevie Bring On The Tarts

Stevie Fulton talks about Saturdays win over Livingston.......

"I prefer to play in a team of Scottish boys. I think two or three foreigners is all right but I think supporters can identify more with a team of Scots.

"It's also easier to communicate on the pitch with Scots, apart from Andy McLaren.

"You have to respect what Amor's done in the game but that's all in the past. I'm sure it's hard for him but we made it that way with the way we played.

"When I was with Hearts, Tam Flogel only started to produce his best football when he mastered the language."

"I wish we could play like that every week because everything went well for us.

"Against Motherwell, we only had two shots on goal in two matches, yet we could have scored five or six against Livingston."

"A lot of people thought when I left Hearts it was a step down but I think we can challenge them for third place.

"I'd take a lot of pleasure if we could do that. I still like Hearts to do well but I'd love to finish above them.

"No matter what I do people still have a go at me, so I don't think I've anything to prove.

"People said I didn't play a lot for Hearts last year but I played most games and won more Player of the Year awards than ever.

"I've only got a couple of years left so I'm just going to enjoy it."

Jim Jefferies on Fulton..... "I had him at Falkirk and Hearts so I know all about his quality.

"With Stevie it's about looking after himself and he's done that.

"He was man of the match again today, different class.

"If he keeps himself fit, there aren't many better midfielders in Scotland. He has great strength, tremendous passing ability and a fine footballing brain.

"It's when he lets himself go that he can't get about, although that's not been a problem this season."

Saturday was Livi's heaviest home defeat in the top flight.
