Peter Ready For Home Cooking

Killie midfielder Peter Canero looks forward to the Scotland U-21 Vs Germany match at Rugby Park on Friday night....

"With us slipping up against Lithuania this is now a must win game - especially being at home.
"We've all been looking forward to this for months. Obviously we knew this would be a good game for us and now it's up to us to play the way we can and get a result.
"There's a good blend in the squad. We all seem to get on really well and there's a confidence about us."

He said: "It would be nice to get another goal now after the season I've had.
"I got six goals for Kilmarnock - which is my best in a season - and I had a great wee spell when I got four in a row. Everything just dropped to me.
"It would be really nice to get another against Germany."

C
anero was part of the Killie side that lost 4-0 to Celtic in that dramatic final day of the SPL while Rangers clinched the title with a 6-1 demolition of Dunfermline at Ibrox.
He added: "I thought I had seen the last of the place after that game.
"But I'll be glad to be back, especially if we can get a win and boost our hopes of qualifying.
"We've done well so far under Rainer and we're almost like a club side now with the way we meet nearly every month and with the amount of games and friendlies we play.

"We have been together now for about a year since he came in and it helps you to get to know other players and their styles.
"Hopefully it will pay off this Friday, but it's really up to us to get a result."

Canero grabbed his first goal for team boss Rainer Bonhof in the 1-1 draw with Denmark at Dunfermline.
