The Kilmarnock skipper
Freddie Dindeleux is desperate to aim
third spot in the SPL to bring his team an automatic UEFA Cup place.
Said Freddie Dindeleux...:
"I don't want to be in the position where we are relying on someone else
doing us a favour for Kilmarnock to get into Europe.
"That's
a gamble we don't want to make. We would much prefer to finish third and
that would be everything sorted.
"The fourth European place could go to
the Scottish Cup finalist or winner, depending on who it is.
"Third place has be our aim for the last
seven games. We're close to Hearts now and still have to play at Rugby
Park, so the chance is there.
"In my time at Kilmarnock, we have been
in Europe a couple of seasons and they are great occasions which we
want
to see back here."
While European football is something to
savour, any kind of football will be welcomed at Rugby Park at the
moment.
"We have gone three weeks without a
game and, to be honest, everyone is desperate just to play again. It's
been too long.
"We went to Ireland last week and played
a couple of friendlies.
"Actually, we have a game next Saturday
and then another couple of weeks without a game - but what can you do?"
Fourth may also get the coveted entry to
Europe - but only if Rangers don't win the title and do lift the
Scottish Cup......"That's an awful lot of
ifs, buts and maybes."
