Not A Penalty ....Marsh

Gordon Marshall today dismissed the penalty controversy which could have ended Kilmarnock's European hopes.

The keeper was involved in a collision with Graham Weir early in the heated clash with main Uefa Cup rivals Hearts on Sat.

Gordon said...."I went for it and he (Weir) went for it, It was a genuine attempt for the ball. Obviously, we collided, but I didn't think it merited a penalty."

"Beating Hearts was a good result. We battled away and worked hard as a unit. I think we had the best chances and probably deserved to edge it."

"Hearts were obviously going to go for it because of Europe. If they had got something off us it would have pretty much sealed it. As it is, we keep things interesting."

"We have actually not had a bad spell since the turn of the year. We have been consistent, which has been the most important thing."

"If we can get into Europe it will be the fourth time I have been there with Kilmarnock. It would be a great achievement and underline how consistent we have been."
