Boyd Hoping For A Change In Fortune

Kris Boyd hopes he and the club experience a change in fortunes when they face Motherwell at Fir Park on Saturday. The 19-year-old striker said......

"I probably wouldn't have played half the games I have if everyone was fit. It has been hard and we've had to bring in a lot of younger players like me.

"I've played with five different strike partners and don't think we've had the same defence for two games in a row."

"Motherwell are bottom of the league and lost in the CIS Cup to Aberdeen, so we hope to take advantage of that.

"I injured a knee in the last game against them in August and that cost me a call-up to the Scotland U21 squad."

On the teams form..."I think we are beginning to feel the pressure of our predicament now we are starting drop down the table a bit.

"We have too many good players at this club to end up being relegated. But it is going to be hard from now on."

"I thought we dominated the
Dundee Utd game. But we have a habit of losing daft goals in the last 10 or 15 minutes. We have to start playing for the full 90 minutes."
