Shields Feeling Lucky
Killie full-back Greg Shield talks about
life after playing down in England....... "I played 86 games on the spin for Dunfermline,
so it will take time to get back to that kind of fitness. But it's a good
feeling just to be back playing again and even though the season has just
started I feel as though I am gradually getting my sharpness back," "I went to Walsall for a while just to get a game
of football but my wife, who was pregnant at the time, stayed up here. It
wasn't easy but I'm delighted the way things have worked out because I was
desperate to come home. "There's no point in being bitter about things. I
played 30-odd games against top-class opposition in England and now I am
lucky enough to play for a team with a lot of ambition." |
