Chris Innes talks about (Dec 9th) his best
Killie buddie
Craig
Dargo whose contact is up at the
end of the season......
"Craig is my best mate and we
share a car to training with a few of the lads. There is a great
camaraderie between us all.
"He likes listening to The Golden Hour on the
radio every morning and we have a competition to guess the year. He's
the worst singer in the world.
"But he is an exceptional player. Every fan
would tell you the same and, although I can't comment on the board's
stance he is a great lad to have about the place.
"He gets into great positions and
has done really well to come back from injury. When it first happened we
didn't realise how bad the injury was.
"But he has worked hard to get fit. I know he
will start banging the goals in again soon.
"Every club wants to keep its good players and
I would love to have him in the team every week. Defenders must hate
playing against him because I know from training just how good his
movement is."
"Having said that, his miss was incredible. I
was sure he would just knock it in and I better not repeat what I said
to him when he didn't score."

Jim Jefferies on the Craig Dargo Contract
Situation (Dec 6th)..."I have
spoken to Dargs and he said he wasn't aware his agent was talking to
Preston. Now we will get the game (Dundee
Dec 7th) out of the way, have a chat early next week and then it is
up to him to come back to us before the end of the week.An offer has
been on the table for some while now. He decided to leave it there until
he was back playing and he is now. We are not looking to receive any
offers. We would rather have the player and that's why why we have made
him a very good offer. It was made before the TV deal collapsed so he is
very fortunate that Kilmarnock have honoured their part of that given
that the circumstances have changed."
