Kris Gets Off the Hook

Kris Boyd was worried his boss would hook him after his blunders - but the Jim Jefferies kept the faith and it paid off with Boyd's sensational free- kick right at the death.

Kris Boyd said: "I had to do something as I'd done nothing else for 89 minutes.

"I missed a good chance when I'd been one-on-one with the keeper and there were other opportunities so I was a bit worried the boss would take me off.

"If we hadn't won we would have looked on a draw as two points lost.

"We've had a difficult time recently with injuries but these guys are starting back in training so things are looking up.

"A few of the boys were saying it's been a while since our last win bonus so today has paid for a few of the kid's Christmas presents!"
