Teenage Killie star Kris Boyd talks about
his game winning goal Vs the Arabs on Sat, after coming on as a sub.....
"I am delighted to get among the goals so
soon. I am always confident of scoring,''
"We would have taken a draw to be honest,
because when I came on we were at panic stations with United a goal up.
However, we managed to turn it around and clinch a 2-1
win.
"I am happy to wait my turn because there
are plenty of good players at the club who are ahead of me. Gary
McSwegan came here in the summer and he is an excellent player, so I
will just have to keep working hard and hope the manager picks me.''
"There are lots of experienced guys at the
club and they help us young guys all the time.
"Most of the young lads were running
around losing their heads when we went behind, but the likes of Gordon
Marshall, Stevie Fulton and Gary were there to keep us calm. I think the
manager has got the right mix in the squad.
"Our aim is to be involved in Europe next
season and we definitely have our sights set on the top six.''
Jim Jefferies said:.....
"It was a great finish from Kris, he deserves all the credit for a
goal like that. He just looked up and saw the keeper off his line, then
instinct took over and he knew exactly what to do.''
