It was feared that
Craig Dargo could leave Killie for nothing
when his contract expired at the end of the season. But the 24-year-old
gave the Ayrshire out a huge lift when he signed a two-year extension to
his current deal. The Edinburgh-born youngster recently returned from an
ankle injury and Killie Boss Jim Jefferies
is predicting a big few years for him.

Jim Jefferies on Dargo....
"Craig Dargo has agreed a new two-year extension
to his current contract today.
"He was out of contract at the end of the
season, so I am very pleased that today he has signed a new two-year
deal."
"We've missed him when he was out
injured, so that [the new contract] is off his mind now.
"He would have attracted a fair bit of
attention at the end of the season when he would have been out of
contract.

"But he has shown that he is committed to
Kilmarnock and it's good news for everyone at the club.
"He's done well since coming to Kilmarnock
and since I've been here he's done very well.
"I've played him deep sometimes and he is a
very intelligent player and can beat people, so I'm delighted that he
has agreed to stay and he's now ready for some great years with the
club."
