Club Finalise Season Ticket Details

There was a board meeting at Rugby Park today and the main topic on the agenda was of course the new season ticket deal. David Heath has since been in contact with the 125 committee and related to them the route the club are going down, to put their ticket plans for the new season into action.

The club will now mail the details to all existing season ticket holders who should get the information within the next few days, former season ticket holders will also be contacted not long afterwards. And it's good news for existing season ticket holders who didn't want to give up their seat...

Basically the deal will be as previously indicated with one major exception. The club have taken on board everyone's opinions and have decided not to go ahead with an 'open seat' policy for the time being...although it may be introduced at a later date (not this season though). The Moffat Stand will remain 'open seated' for those wishing to take this option, please remember though that the Moffat Stand season tickets do not include old firm games, that is why those season tickets are even cheaper. The club intend to sell tickets for the Moffat Stand at all the age levels.

If you take up the option of a season ticket for next year within a limited time period (which happens currently), probably the end of April, you can keep the seat you are currently occupying or indeed, change to one in another section providing it's currently empty. So for the sake of your mate that's getting the free ticket, the sooner you buy your ticket the better choice of seat he/she will be able to claim for themselves.

From the majority of the 125 committee's point of view, we would rather that the open seating had went ahead in all stands, given the knock on effect on the atmosphere, but hopefully that won't be a problem if we fill the stadium! Due to the fact that the board is going ahead with the two for one deal, which achieves the main point of our campaign, we feel we owe it to them to support which ever avenue they decided would be the best for the club...and if that means fixed seating in the East and West Stands then so be it.

So whatever's been said on the message boards...forget it...that's in the past and there is no more need for supposition. It's good to see that the club is once again putting the fan's opinions first, whether we agree or not, and it's also good to see that they are not discounting all the other options for the future...you never know what's ahead. Please remember that the 125 committee will be resident in The Park Hotel on Saturday afternoon from 12 noon until 4pm if you have any further queries and would rather speak to someone in person, come along for a chat and a coffee (yes I am still off the beer!)
