Peter Canero recollects his thoughts from
the Jag's win some 24 hours earlier....
"Gary McSwegan just knocked the ball back to me
and I managed to catch it, not great, but I directed it into the corner
and I don't think their keeper had much of a chance./Canero%20Jags%20Goal%20SNS.jpg)
"It was a hard game but we deserved to win. We
had a few chances to finish it off although we were put under pressure
towards the end.
"They must have got eight or nine corners in
the last 10 minutes and they caused a lot of problems but their set
pieces were their only threat - they did not create much in open play.
"We've still got Hearts in our sights and want
to keep on gaining on them but first and foremost we need to get into
the top six and then worry about who is in front of us then."
On participating in the Scotland Turkey
match.... "These games can only
benefit us for the future because we're playing against some more
experienced players who are often older than 21.
"It can also help us because if you're not
playing in the full team, these games can make you realise you are there
or thereabouts.
"The last time I got called up as a late
replacement in Germany and I managed to get involved and it was a really
good experience for me.
"Hopefully I can play some part in the game
this time as well and it should be good."
