Kilmarnock
0 - 0 St Johnstone
Stevie Murray was causing problems for the Saints defence and he set up a Hooky cross that was met by Boyd but his header was easily saved. Di Giacomo came close to breaking the deadlock in 25 minutes but his solo run ended with a low shot that Miotto blocked with his legs. Forsyth had the ball in the net in 32 minutes but his effort was ruled out for offside. Two minutes later wee Ruby went on another mazy run and his well struck shot flew inches wide. Killie went on the offensive after the break and after 56 minutes a Boyd header from a corner was hooked off the line. Miotto had the save of the match a minute later when he brilliantly tipped over a fierce Di Giacomo drive. Killie continued to push for the decisive goal with Jaconelli and Gold coming close in the final 10 minutes however the visitors fought hard and it was hard to grudge them their point. Killie were best served by Hay, McGregor and Murray whilst Miotto and Malone St
