Player Profile: Jim Dick
Notes: My first game for Killie IFA team was against A*r in the league at the old racecourse playing fields. Killie were struggling for players that day (must have been!). I got to know SoupKing quite well after playing against him most Friday nights, so he asked wee Scotty and myself to play on the Saturday against the mankies. I started that game at right back but was soon moved into midfield. We lost 2-0 that day, it's never good getting beat by that mob...and not a particularly good start to my Killie playing career either! Anyway, I've been a regular in the team ever since and enjoyed trips to Hull, Watford and recently Hull again for the Semi-Final of the British Cup. Hopefully there is a lot more to come as well. My most enjoyable day out has to be the one against Millwall at Hull in said Semi-Final. My worst day was probably when I broke my wrist playing in a Scottish Cup tie in Edinburgh, although I would recommend the morphine to anyone! |
