It has taken 15 matches for Killie to eventually "break into" the
SPL "top 6" for the first time this season. It was goals from Colin Nish
and Kris Boyd allowed Kilmarnock to leapfrog Dundee in the Scottish
Premier League with victory at Dens Park.
It means that Dundee have not defeated their Ayrshire opponents in
their last five meetings.

Kilmarnock made one change, from the team that beat Motherwell 2-0
last week, with Martin Hardie replacing the injured Gary McDonald in
midfield.
The visitors took the lead against the early run of play after eight
minutes.
Kris Boyd was tackled in the box by defender Lee Wilkie and the ball
fell to Colin Nish, who fired past Julian Speroni from 10
yards.
The goalkeeper prevented Kilmarnock quickly extending their lead by
saving at close range from Peter Canero.
Peter Canero squandered a great chance when he missed the target with
only Speroni to beat.
Dundee equalised after 32 minutes when goalkeeper Francois Dubourdeau
bundled Nacho Novo to the ground inside the box, after an error Gordon
Greer allowed Novo in.
Novo dusted himself down and slotted the spot-kick into the corner
for the equaliser and his 14th goal of the season.

The lead was restored five minutes later, with Kris Boyd
heading home a Garry Hay cross from 12 yards, for his 6th SPL goal
of the season.
Dubourdeau prevented a second equaliser just before the break with a
great save to deny Jonay Hernandez from close range.
Dundee should have been on level terms 10 minutes into the
second-half, when Garry Brady sent Novo through on goal, but the
striker's shot from 16 yards went wide.
Kilmarnock seemed content to protect their lead and a powerful shot
from Novo was parried by Dubourdeau.
Killie gave up several corners in the closing mins as they ran out
time on Dundee, with the major talking point was a blatant dive by Navo,
as he attempted to get Dee a second penalty.
