light blue wig:
Good solid keeper, fast reflexes, and good hands (usually). Needs confidence and everyone behind him. Tends to let the defence sit on top of him too much. Chase them out. One Colin Meldrum, there's only one Colin Meldrum

Suzy: Deserves his chance at Killie, after being with us for so long. Has done well in previous seasons when called upon. Hopefully he can establish himself as our
No.1!

bluehand:
The last thing Colin needed was a bad start at Ibrox. JJ must have faith in him or he would have been dropped. Weaknesses are...cross
balls...and that damn left foot! Needs to instill confidence in his defence. Great shot stopper and needs a bit of
good luck for this season. I hope he does well.

75: I think Colin will do well. He is a good keeper and played really well last season when Marshall was out injured. Hopefully everyone will get right behind him and give him the support he needs.

debz_ehg2: Melly's had a long wait to get into the team and after a bad start to the season
I'm confident he will pull through and become THE number 1 next year! C'MON MELLY PROVE YOUR CRITICS
WRONG!

I'm slightly skeptical about Colin, seems to have one good game one bad game. He deserves the chance of the No 1 spot. A wee bit more consistency and
he'll do well. Good game at M/Well, one of only a handful of players who earned
their keep.

|
FuNsTeR: Hopefully if he gets a decent run of
games...it will boost his confidence and that of skeptical fans.

minikillie:
Made a cock up at Ibrox and by all accounts talked about quitting
after that. Glad he didn't. Been with Killie for years and deserves
to be judged on more than just one game. All keepers make mistakes,
but he showed his true worth against Motherwell where he had an
excellent performance. Hope he has a great season.

qwerty: A great shot stopper but that is not going to be enough to see him keep the no.1 jersey. Verging on hopeless at times with a cross ball and the defence
don't seem to have much confidence in him which makes for more defensive mistakes. We pay Jim Stewart to coach two or three players, how can after all this time Melly still be making the same mistakes? Get a new coach in and Meldrum will hopefully improve enough to keep his shirt.

chuckle2: I
don't trust wee keepers - plus he has this annoying habit that he had 10 years ago when he played against my brother that he pretends to throw the ball then kicks
it! Watch and see...Still the best option we have considering we signed "Slugger Frenchie"....will give
Melly five more match before final judgment.

|
Killie_Damo: Not convinced yet but he deserves a run in the team till January to show what he can/can't do. Genuinely hope he does well as he always gives 100% for the club and has had a torrid time from some fans.

He's had his chance and I think we must get a new keeper in soon or we'll be in the SFL. Over the years he's had chances and has never impressed - get what we can for him and get him
out.

King: I've never posted anything on this before and do not intend to cause offence, but we have now played 5 games and Meldrum has been culpable for about half of the goals we have lost. Every time the opposition get a corner I expect us to concede a goal. He is too short, never comes off his line, is unwilling to put himself where it hurts, and his performances must exasperate our defenders and destroy their confidence. He is not the only player to have had a poor start to the season, but his position is so important that if he doesn't get dropped soon then we are definitely bottom six, and if Clyde win Div One, I dread to think what would happen to the club.
