Barry Mclaughlin talks about a variety of topics after Sat's home
win over Dundee.....
Kris
Boyd not being in the Scotland U-21 Squad..."I
don't know why Kris hasn't featured more at international level. He has
been in and out. He wasn't even in the Scotland Under-21 squad for their
friendly recently. I don't know if
playing for a team like Kilmarnock counts against him. I think maybe the
boys who play for Old Firm teams or Hearts or Hibs, the so-called bigger
city clubs, get more of a chance. But
Kris has got a big future in front of him if he keeps working away. I see
no reason why he can't go all the way to the top.
His performance on Saturday was the way
it's been going for him this season. The fans love Kris and every time he
comes on he gives the place a lift. He got another start and did well."
On Saturday's Performance...
"We could have scored a lot more goals with the quality of play from
Danny, Eric and Kris. They're very good players. Maybe they haven't had
the chances this season they would have

liked. However,
we got a good win against Dundee and hopefully that will give everyone a
bit of confidence. Then everyone will say: 'What crisis?'"
On Danny Invincible... "Danny's
main strength is his pace. He is very, very quick. I was speaking to him
last week and he had the chance to be a sprinter or a footballer when he
was younger. That shows. He is good in the air as well.
On
Eric Skora... "Eric is a good all-round footballer.
He is good to give the ball to as you know he will do something with it.
He has got great attributes. As a defender you are up against these guys
in training and it is very difficult.
On the Rest of the Season..."I
know the players we have got and I know the players other teams have got
and I think we can finish in the top six.
Our injuries have been horrendous. But,
hopefully, we can get a clean run and get everyone back fit and pushing
for places now."
