Say "Aye" To The NEW Killie Pie!

Brownings the Bakers, winner of this year's Best Baker in Britain award, is launching its new Killie Pie this weekend at the Kilmarnock v Aberdeen match on Saturday. Roughly 2,000 pies are consumed at each home game by hungry punters and the new mouth watering peppered steak slices are going down a treat as well, literally!

John Gall, grandson of the founder and joint Managing Director said: "We have created a brand new recipe and we know we have a winner. Cooked in our production plant in Kilmarnock we only use the finest Scottish steak and the recipe for our gravy is a closely guarded secret. Only two people know the details."

He continued: "Each pie comes in its own silver wrapper, so you could say it's the first silver service football pie! Next week we will be talking to Harrods Food Hall to see if they would like to conduct a trial taste test on their customers."

"On the back of our Best Baker in Britain Award - we know Killie has got the best pie in the country. We are so confident in the Killie Pie, we will be selling it seven days a week in each of our seven shops throughout Ayrshire, and any other shop who wants test it."

Killie daft (almost certifiable) John and his brother David will be doing the half time draw this weekend in their "Say Aye to a Killie Pie" t-shirts so you may have something else to be grateful to them for if they draw you numbers out of the hat. They are keen to make sure that Killie fans like themselves are getting the best service in the country.

John said: "It's in our best interest to make sure that we keep as many people as possible happy and with that in mind we will now be introducing a vegetarian option from the Celtic game onwards. We are eager to give the punters what they want so we will run a poll on the killiefc.com website to find out what the preferred option for vegetarians would be"

On a personal note we would like to add our congratulations to John and David and all their staff on winning the Best Baker in Britain accolade last week. It's good to see a local company doing so well and it's gratifying to see their hard work and determination receiving some recognition. They have made a remarkable job of building up the company and it's good for our club to be associated with winners.

"Say AYE to a Killie Pie"
(and a peppered steak slice!)
