Killie boss talks further about Killie's defensive woes which were
apparent during Sat's home loss to Aberdeen.....
"To defend as
badly as we did for the first 15 minutes against Aberdeen made it almost
impossible to win the game.

"We gave them about three or four chances
in the first half and they buried two of them. We fancied ourselves to get
back into it after half-time and they scored straight away."
"They showed more determination at the
back. We defended very poorly and that is what cost us the game. They
couldn't believe their luck.
"The first goal was a gift. The second
goal beggared belief. Their player picked the ball up 25 yards out and we
left a gap for him to go through. Nobody challenged him."
"It is an area of our play that we are
going to have to sort out if we want to do anything in this division. We
can't afford to give away goal so cheaply again. "
"After two gritty performances away from
home our defending let us down badly and we were punished for it. It was
very disappointing indeed."
"I can't ever
remember playing in a game that we have lost
when we had so much of the ball. We had more of the ball than them. The
difference was they were more dangerous. "
"I don't know how Boydy managed to miss
that open goal.
"If he had scored that then the whole
game would have been different."
"We changed things a bit and brought on a
couple of players (Murray and Nish) and took off a couple of defenders. We
got a goal back, but it was not enough."
