Freddie Sick of Heavy O.F. Losses.

Freddie Dindeleux wants Killie to end their miserable record against the Old Firm. Killie have lost a whopping 17 goals in their last four games against Rangers and Celtic, with not a single strike in reply.

"As a defender it hurts to hear a statistic like that. It's always a concern when you are giving away a lot of goals.  We have not been good enough and unfortunately we came up against a really good team in Celtic at the worst possible time last week.  It's a bad record, especially as in recent years we have been proud to take points off both sides of the Old Firm at Rugby Park. But to be fair we remain positive against them and the manager always tells us to have a go.  It's better to lose 4-0 by doing that than 1-0 when not being ambitious."

"Livingston and Motherwell have already drawn with Rangers this season because they took a positive approach. We'll look to do the same. There will be pressure on Rangers because they are behind Celtic in the league and got a lot of criticism after the game against Manchester United. They will be looking for the three points but we have to make up for the defeats we have suffered."

On the Teams Inconsistency..."We have lost our last three games at home to Celtic, Aberdeen and Hearts, conceding 10 goals along the way.  It's important we start making Rugby Park a difficult place for teams to come to again. Now we have passed the first 11 games this season we are looking at the Rangers match as afresh start. We didn't play very well, we lost a lot of goals and our inconsistency has caused us to lose games we would normally be looking to win.

On the Season So Far.... "There have been more lows than highs so far, particularly the League Cup exit to Brechin City, but there is still plenty time to make up for that. `It's difficult to pinpoint what has gone wrong. Maybe we lost our focus a little.  When you have a season as good as the last one we won more league points than in any other year in the club's history it becomes harder to do the same the next time. It's still early though and it was a similar story for us at this stage last season.  We struggled in October and November then went on a great run from December through to the end of the season. We must stay positive and look to do the same again. The fans have been patient. Perhaps they are giving us credit for what we achieved last year and trust us to turn things around.  It would be great to start that improvement against Rangers. It will be an interesting game but a hard one and we must be up for it."

On His Contract Expiring... "I try not to think about it, just enjoy my football and work hard to perform week in, week out.  I would like to stay because I enjoy it here and so does my family. I don't expect the manager to discuss a new contract with me as early as January because all clubs are going through a difficult time financially.  It's an uncertain time but I don't want to think too much about it in case it affects my focus on the game. There's no point in worrying that you might not have a club in the summer. It's better to stay positive and try to keep your standards high.''
