Freddie Dindeleux has hailed Gordon Greer as a Scotland cap of the
future after he helped steer Killie to their first clean sheet of the
season on Sat Vs Motherwell.....
The French defender said: "Gordon is a very good talent and is
starting to show it in the first team here.
"He is a strong lad, good in the air, has two good feet and is
always talking. He has what it takes to be a real star."
Dindeleux
reckons Greer was unlucky his move down south to Blackburn Rovers didn't
work out.
He said: "I'm surprised Gordon didn't get his chance at Blackburn.
I can't see why that happened. I think he has all of the quality to be a
great player in the years to come.
"He is already doing well at Kilmarnock even after a short spell
of time. I think he will get better as he plays."
"He
has been given a chance and has taken it with both hands."
"We have played a few games together now and, hopefully, we can
build on what we have achieved.
"That is our first clean sheet and that is a credit to the hard work
the defence and the midfield have put in.
"We were happy with the three
points. But, just as important, was the fact we didn't let in any goals.
Our defence was the worst in the league and that was
an annoying record.
"We had played well before in games
against Livingston and Dundee United, but let in stupid goals. It is great
to finally keep a clean sheet. Now we can move on and do it again and
again."
"We
have got a big squad at the club but, with the injuries we had, there was
not the same sort of competition for places. Now guys are coming back you
have to perform to keep your place which is good for our displays."
Peter Canero on Greer's..."Now
that Gordon has settled in, he's looked very solid at the back and it's
helped the back four."
