Killie Youngsters Fail To Shine.
Aberdeen
2 - 1 Kilmarnock The Aberdeen Under 19's beat Kilmarnock 2-1 this afternoon with two goals from the prolific John Stewart. Aberdeen dominated the first half and had some great opportunities to take the lead early on with chances from Tarditi and Buckley. John Stewart finally opened the scoring with a superb volley mid way through the first half. Aberdeen were reduced to ten men when Ryan O'Leary was sent off for an offence that looked no more than a free kick. In the last few minutes of the half Stewart had another chance to score but put the ball over the bar. Aberdeen had to re-organise at half-time due to being a man short and had to work had to maintain their lead. There was a great chance for them to extend their lead when captain Zander Diamond went one on one with the Killie keeper only to shoot wide. The second goal finally came when Grant Fraser put the ball through to John Stewart who slotted the ball past the keeper. Aberdeen continued to dominate the game and should have scored a third when Rory McAllister went clear only to get the ball caught under his feet. Kilmarnock then scored an injury time consolation to finish the game 2-1. Aberdeen: Hutton, Donald, Fraser, Higgins, Diamond, O'Leary, Buckley, McDonald
