BBC Balls Up Competition Prize!

Killiefc.com teamed up with Kilmarnock Football Club and B&H to give two fans the chance to win invitations to The 'Off the Ball' St Andrews Awards in the Hilton Grosvenor hotel in Glasgow's west end. Unfortunately the BBC have now contacted the club to say that the bash is actually sold out because they made a mess of the arrangements and have offered two tickets to the filming of Tam Cowan's 'On the Ball' TV show instead.

That was a real kick in the proverbials given that they suggested we run the competition in the first place, so it's a big boo hiss to auntie beeb from us. Colin Fraser was somewhat perturbed by the chain of events as well so as a sweetner he has invited the winners to enjoy some pre-mach hospitality in the '97 club at an upcoming match.

We received quite a few nominations and it was quite difficult to decide who the winners should be but after much thought and deliberation (and beer) we have opted for the one and only Jim 'Messiah' Wilson and another Killie stalwart Ian Burnett...congratulations lads, we'll be in touch to sort out the details.

We'd like to thank everyone for sending in their nominations but we won't print them to save any embarrassment. Other names who made it onto the roll of honour were...Davy Boyd (KFCDSA), Anne Reid (KFCSA), Liz Milligan (A&DSC), Joe and Morag Benny, Geordie Speirs (GVSC), Jamie Hume, John B. Millar (Killie Trust), Stevie Lockhart, Colin Hargreaves, John Dearie, Craig Jardine and Charles Galloway. Gordon Jackson MSP also got a nomination but we can't print what it said.
