Two second-half goals retained
Kilmarnock's unbeaten record against Livingston at Almondvale.
Killie matched their cleansheet record
from
2003-04 of 3 shutout's today after only 5 SPL outings this term.
Livi had dominated the first half, Alan Combe producing fine saves to
deny Goran Stanic and Stuart Lovell.
But Kilmarnock had the advantage of the wind after the break and
defender David Lilley headed them ahead from close range after 60
minutes.
Striker Danny Invincibile forced home the second after Roddy McKenzie
saved from Allan Johnston.
Livingston had made two changes, Colin McMenamin and Goran Stanic
replacing the injured Steven Boyack and the suspended David McNamee.
Kilmarnock welcomed back striker Kris Boyd from injury, but Garry Hay
missed out.
Visiting goalkeeper Alan Combe made a fine ninth-minute save to deny
McMenamin, who had fired in a low drive after Jim Hamilton had laid off
a high ball into the box from Rubio into his path.
Stanic fired in a fierce 25-yarder that Combe, diving to his right,
was able to parry.
The goalkeeper then had to leap the other way to keep out an effort
from Stuart Lovell from just outside the box as Livi pressed again.
Derek Lilley sent another 25-yarder just wide and Dillon made a vital
block to prevent Hamilton hitting the target and Rubio failed to
threaten the goal from six yards from the corner.
A Bahoken cross found Hamilton, but the header was straight at Combe.

Killie came close to stealing the lead in first-half stoppage time,
but Roddy McKenzie saved from Boyd at point-blank range.
McKenzie blocked a Boyd effort with his legs as Kilmarnock started
the second half well.
The striker then lofted the ball over the goalkeeper and wide after
being sent clear by Gary Locke.
McKenzie saved from Allan Johnston, while Lilley sent another drive
just wide at the other end.
Killie
deservedly took the lead in the 60th minute, when
Gary Locke floated in a
free-kick from the left after Craig Easton had fouled Johnston and
David Lilley headed downwards and in from close range at the near post.
Alan Combe pulled off a great save to keep his side in the lead when
O'Brien played a one-two with Hamilton to arrive in the box and then see
his effort blocked by the goalkeeper.
Danny Invincibile made it 2-0
in the 72nd minute after McKenzie denied Johnston and the Australian was
first to the loose ball and converted in front of the unguarded
goal for his 4th goal in 3 matches.
