Graeme Smith, tells the press that he could well be playing for his
Rugby Park future.
The 22-year-old's contract runs out at the end of May and he is
yet to discover whether he will be offered a new one, despite impressing
between the sticks in the absence of
Alan Combe.
He said: "I have not spoken to anyone about it but it's not really
something that is worrying me - I am just enjoying playing.
"I think I am good enough for the SPL and so am just trying to prove
that to the manager and the club and take it from there.
"We all know that money is tight in the game at the moment and so you
never really know what is round the corner."
The Bellshill-born keeper was particularly pleased with the penalty
save as it secured a
rare clean sheet for Killie this season - thus improving his chances
of retaining his place when Combe is fit again.

He said: "I have seen Mark Wilson take a few penalties this season
and he is one of those who can change his mind and put it high, low,
left or right.
"I managed to guess right and keep it out which was great because we
have not had many shut-outs this season. (Nine games since the last
one!)
"Alan and I get on great and we both want each other to do well. If I
stay in the team then great, if Alan comes back in then that is no
problem.
"He has been one of our best performers this season. Standard of play
increases if there is competition and that is what you want."
