Boydie Enjoying International Duty!

KRIS BOYD has vowed to use his experience of the Scotland Under-21 European qualifying campaign as a springboard to the senior squad.

Boomer Said.... "The experiences I have been through during my time with the 21s can only mould me into a more complete professional.
"When you are selected to play for your country at any level, you must be prepared for all circumstances and the highs and lows of international football are there for all to see.
"However, as a player and a person, it is up to me to keep it in perspective.
"The other thing about duty with the 21s is that you are exposed to different coaching styles and, again, that can only have a positive effect."
"Whatever level you play at on international duty, you want to perform at the major championships.
"I feel I have put a lot into the 21s and I am desperate for us to make the European Finals, but all you can give is your best.
"After the defeat last Friday, the players talked things over and the bottom line is that we under-achieved."

"There is no greater honour than captaining your country and I am proud to have done that on more than one occasion.
"OK, you want to get the win even more but I gave it 100%, as did the rest of the lads."

Boyd on internationals affecting his Killie play.... "I have no problems absorbing two internationals in a week. I am in great shape and I just want to play as often as I can.
"I am sure that the young Scots guys who didn't make the squad would rather be playing for the under-21s than sitting at home."

On Playing Dundee Next...  "I am looking forward to playing at Dens, being away has not taken the edge of my appetite for that."
