Get That "Badge" Gone... Your Support Needed!

Gang, we at www.killiefc.com need your support and help!! It is our 40th anniversary of our magnificent 1964-65 League Championship season. Many of us have been looking for a replica shirt from that bygone era, to wear with pride and support. Alas the only "top" available is manufactured by an English company called Toffs.

The only problem with their version of the 60's retro Killie top, is it comes complete with a Kilmarnock FC "badge" that they invented, and in fact was NEVER used by the club.

To solve this problem, I have made contact with Toffs, asking them if they could manufacture our top without the badge. (As in the above photo) first e-mail I got was the standard tough tities. I then wrote again to them explaining to them, that I ran a Killie website with a message board with over 1,800 Killie fans.

As you can see from the following e-mail I have got their attention now!!

Dear Allan,

Just checked as the request is straight forward enough and we can certainly arrange the shirt without a badge, we will look into this further in the new year.  The reason we include the badge on a lot of shirts is for definition.
I enjoyed looking at the website and the link below, it's refreshing to see there is still passion for the game up there aside from the big two.  I couldn't view the attachment but I saw the picture of Tommy McLean on your profile and I imagine it is like that shirt, we can also sow retro style numbers onto the back of the shirt in whatever colour required, I'm presuming red.  If you could maybe mention something on your website and get an idea on the level of interest that would be great.

With kind regards
Alex Evans

I understand. Perhaps you should look into manufacturing the top in question without "the badge" as this badge was NEVER used.

I run the
www.killiefc.com website with over 1,800 dedicated Killie fans on it!

I know of at least 50 of my site members that would purchase this top, as it is our 40 year anniversary of winning the Scottish League in 1964-65. I have attached a small pic of confirmation of how this "top" should look to be authentic. (right)

Can you take this up further with your marketing/production folks?

Thanks
Allan
PS... How easily can/could the badge be removed?

How Can You Help?..... If you would like one of these "non-badged" Killie shirts please post your support  here, with your possible size requirements.

Forum Thread HERE

PS... They run 33 quid (without numbers).

I fancy 65 on the back of mine, with a "cheeky" Champions League Patch on the sleeve................ Cheers..... Allan..... KTID!!
