Winning Streak Continues at Aberdeen

Aberdeen 0 - 3 FC Killie Ladies
(SWPL - Hermes Lockside Park, 22nd January 2006, 14:00 Kick Off)

The Killie Ladies team were away to Aberdeen on Sunday and
came home with a 3-0 victory. Defender Tracy Burns opened the scoring (Make a space for the top goalscorer trophy Burnsy!) after 31 minutes followed by a penalty from Scotland International Jo Love 5 minutes before half time.

The points were secured in the 64th minute with another goal from midfielder Kirsty "wee yin" McLaughlin who has been in outstanding form since re-claiming her starting place in the side.

Kilmarnock keeper Emma Mills had an easy afternoon of it with Aberdeen creating very little in attack, but they played the offside trap very well and Killie's forward line were caught out on numerous occasions.

Manager Malky Boyle said "I feel that today's victory was a hard fought game and to be fair, Aberdeen are a better team than their league position would suggest. It is imperative that we keep the pressure on Hibs and need to keep winning games"

FC Kilmarnock Ladies Team: Mills, Hegarty, Smith (C), Burns, Bayne (Hughes 65), K.McLaughlin, Love, Fowler, Forsyth (Stokes 50), B.McLaughlin, Cooper (Woods 84).
Subs (unused): Quinn, Docherty, Davies.
