Gary Locke was a late injury absentee and was replaced with Rhian
Dodds.
The visitors stormed into a surprise lead after only three minutes.
Lee Makel's free-kick fell to Burchill 12 yards from goal and the
former Celtic striker lashed a left-foot shot into the roof of the net.
The lead only last five minutes when Allan Johnston set up the
unmarked Rhian Dodds inside the
Fifers' penalty area and the Killie midfielder drew McGregor before
firing his left-footed shot into the net.
Only a fine, close-range save from McGregor from Johnston, following
an impressive four-man move, kept the scores level.
A fine stop by Killie keeper Alan Combe prevented Burchill firing the
Fifers back into the lead with his left-footed volley from 14 yards.

Killie defender Simon Ford came close with a header from a Garry Hay
free-kick.
Kilmarnock retained the edge when former Dunfermline striker
Colin Nish looked to be barged by Andy Tod.
But Garry Hay's cross fell to Kris
Boyd who quickly and confidently slammed it into the net from 12
yards out.
Danny Invincibile's fine turn and shot forced McGregor into a fine
block from the angled shot from 16 yards.
Nish headed past at the back post after yet another good cross from
Allan Johnston.
Alan Combe pulled out a magnificent save at the other end from
Burchill's close-range header from a Greg Ross cross from the right.
Dunfermline defenders Scott Wilson and Tod had to throw themselves to
block shots from Boyd and Nish as Killie sought to extend their lead
after the break.
A Nish header from a Gary McDonald ball went just wide of the near
post.
A deep cross from the right from Ross found Darren Young who headed
down for Hunt to chest the ball back into the path of Derek Young.
The Pars' striker was no more than six yards out when he lashed his
volley into the net off the crossbar.
Killie quickly retaliated and McGregor did well to save Dodds'
25-yard drive at the second attempt.
McGregor saved well from Dodds and Nish as Killie retaliated, but
Hunt squandered an excellent chance
to give the Pars the lead when he fired past
the post. In the 85th minute, Boyd set up
Simon Ford who volleyed wildly over the bar
from just 10 yards out before the Scotland Under-21 player also missed
from close range..
But Danny Invincibile
(right)...thanks to Tom Brown for supplying!) ensured Killie extended
their unbeaten run to six games, with a great right
footed shot through a crowded penalty box, in the final minute, to
ensure the Killie faithful went home delighted.
