 Notes:
Kris has proved to be a bit of a goal
scoring enigma at every stage of his career, including goals for the
Scotland Under 18's and
Under 21's. He had a pretty slow start when
he was introduced to the first team after working his way through
the Killie youth system but once he found his bearing there was just
no stopping him and he's topped the hotshot charts ever since.
Such
a prolific player is always going to attract the attention of
'bigger' clubs and indeed he went on trial to Premiership club
Wolves in 2003, but fortunately they had to spend their cash on a
new defence. Boomer is good with his feet and good in the air and
has a real knack for hitting the target...scoring some pretty
spectacular goals in the process. Winner of the killiefc.com Young
Player of the Year Award 2002-03 and the
Player of the Year Award
2003-04.
There is no higher praise than that!
Kris nearly left Killie in Aug of 2005, after netting 3 goals in the
first 4 SPL matches of the 05-06 campaign, for Cardiff City, but did
a last min "180"!
He is/was expected to leave in either Jan or May 2006. Stay tuned!
As of Dec 3rd 2005, Kris was tied with Rudi Skacel (of Hearts) who
on 13
SPL goals(15 if you include Kris's 2 in the CIS cup!).
Update:
Kris represented Killie in the Scotland "B" international at
Rugby Park on Dec 6th 2005, where
the Scots ran
2-0 winners. |
