Fifty For The Future Update 10

Everyone associated with Killie will have their favourite memories from season 2005/2006. Our final placing of fifth was a fine achievement and we were well entertained throughout with a barrow load of goals. The emergence of Stephen ‘Kid Goals’ Naismith has given everyone a boost and the form of guys like Combe, Fowler and Johnston has been inspiring and a joy to watch.

Off the field is still a cause for concern but the Fifty for the Future campaign has been a tremendous success. Our involvement with FFTF has opened our eyes and we take great encouragement from the support and goodwill given to us by the fans and local business community.

The curtain was drawn on the FFTF season with an end of season event in the Park Hotel prior to the demolition of Hibs. All contributors were invited and we were delighted to see the large numbers in attendance. Chairman Michael Johnston and Youth guru Alan Robertson thanked everyone for their efforts and everyone had the chance to enjoy a free buffet as well as get a couple of complimentary tickets for the match.

The FFTF Roll of Honour board now hangs proudly in the hotel and it was admired by everyone who wanted to see their name on the list. The foundations are now firmly in place and we will be continuing with the campaign for many years to come. The Killie Trust has played a huge part in supporting the full campaign and you can expect a lot more from the Trust in the months ahead.
