Killie headed up to Aberdeen (why the SPL scheduled this Boxing Day fixture no body knows!) and were without suspended Garry Hay, and injured Fraser Wright. Also Paul Di Giacomo broke his cheek-bone in Sat's loss to Motherwell. So Simon Ford & David Lilley were drafted in, along with Gary Wales to the starting 11!

So to no surprise Killie were 2 down before they even got organised!

A quick-fire double from Aberdeen, including a stunning opener from 17-year-old forward Chris Maguire, propelled the Dons to a victory over Kilmarnock at Pittodrie.

Maguire wasted no time in making his mark in his first competitive start for Aberdeen, beating Killie keeper Graeme Smith with a curling 25-yard-drive in only the sixth minute.

Three minutes later Barry Nicholson added a well-worked second following Darren Mackie's smart pass, while substitute Steve Lovell added a third late on, before Steven Naismith's consolation volley for Kilmarnock.
