Notes:
Alan kick off his career at
Cowdenbeath before spending five years at Love Street with St Mirren.
His breakthrough came with a move to Dundee United making over 80
first team appearances for the Tannadice outfit during the next five
years. An unhappy spell at Bradford followed where he played nearly
forty games but they were relegated. He has been included in
Scotland squads but not had any caps as yet. Alan has a bit of a hot
head reputation after a few run in's with referee's during his
career but he seems to have mellowed with age and learned from his
mistakes. A good shot stopper who is not scared to come out for a
cross and commands his area well.
UPDATE: Alan represented Killie in the Scotland "B" international at
Rugby Park on Dec 6th 2005, where
the Scots ran
2-0 winners, with Alan playing the
2nd 45 mins!
CONTRACT UPDATE: At the close of 2005-06, Alan signed a new 2 year
contract extention, to keep him at Killie until 2008! |
