PAUL
DI GIACOMO reckons he is one decent 90 minutes away from a CIS Cup
Final appearance that would end two years of injury hell.
Jacko said..."Everybody
wants to be involved in a cup final, although you are trying not to
think about it too early. That's my
first
game back and I was hopeless in the first half. But we came alive
after the interval and I got two assists so I'm quite happy with that.
I'm now one good performance away from playing at Hampden and I will
just get my head down and see how next Saturday goes."
"When you are not in the team
it can be hard. My last start was on December 23 when I lasted four
minutes. (fracturing his cheekbone against Motherwell before Christmas
below)

"I'm just delighted to be
back in the team as I've been patient and worked hard. You worry you
might not get back in as we have a great squad and everybody is
playing well. I was just back in the side after injury and had struck
up a good partnership with Colin Nish when I fractured my cheekbone
but that happens. It's then up to you to be mentally strong and bounce
back. The gaffer stressed how important it was to win so it's a
fantastic result for us. We knew it wouldn't be easy as St Mirren are
fighting for their lives. It wasn't the best of games but we stuck to
our task and got two good goals. The cup is a great distraction but
getting a place in the top six has always been our priority."
