We’ve
had a chat with Anne Clark at the club and decided that it’s not nice to
see Killie at the bottom of any league…even if it is the Coca Cola
competition one! We were as disappointed as anyone last season when,
despite all our valiant efforts and finishing as the top club in
Scotland, we were awarded…zilch.
We’d
been told that there was a prize for the most improved team but that
failed also to transpire so the plan was this year to tell them to shove
their cola where the sun don’t shine…but the bottom of the league
scenario has given us a change of heart.

The
competition this year has changed in how you enter and how you can win.
You have to get code numbers from cans, bottles or packs of Coke, Diet
Coke or Coke Zero and either text them or enter them into the website
and see if you’ve won the club some cash.
There
are a few large amounts out there but in the main it’s for small
denominations which are added up and given to the club at the end of the
competition…and according to the Coke rep for our area we’d have made
the club £20k on last years efforts.
All we
have to do now is figure out a new way to cheat, sorry, manipulate the
figures in our favour with minimum effort we meant to say. We are not
too far behind Falkirk at the moment and while we know it’s too late to
mount a serious leadership challenge, it would be nice to leave a few
teams in our wake rather than finish last. Emotional blackmail we think
it’s called.
All we
can think to do is contact anyone we know with shops or in the catering
industry and get all the code numbers from the cans they buy
wholesale…and if that means the any old firm fans then buying the can
can’t use the code (each code can only be used once) then all the
better!
We’re
not going to knock ourselves out over this the way we did last season as
there are far more important things on the go at the moment…but we’ll do
what we can to raise a few sheckles for the club. Click the link below
