Ryan was signed on a free transfer from Aberdeen in July 2005. He has bided his time in the Killie reserves, before replacing Simon Ford on Oct 14th, 2006, as a sub, to make his Killie debut, against his former club. His first Killie start came 2 weeks later at Easter Rd on Nov 4th 2006, where Ryan did a fine job of coping with the speedy Ivan Sproule. Looks like another JJ "find"! Played well in Killie's final two matches at Ibrox and Hearts (H), at the end of the 06-07 which were both 1-0 wins. Looks certain to figure in Killie's defence after the departure of Gordon Greer, in season 07-08.
