He took part in every one of the games en route to the 2-1 Final defeat against Spain and everyone at the club was chuffed for him.
Jamie was a credit to himself, his family and the youth system at Kilmarnock during Scotland's amazing run and everybody at Rugby Park has high hopes for him in the future.
UPDATE Jan 2007:
With no 2006-07 first team starts
for Killie, Jamie has been loaned out to Queen of the
South for the remainder of the season. (Along with
Stevie Murray).
UPDATE Jul 2007:
JJ
on Adams representing Killie at the Under 20 FIFA World
Cup...."He was one of the few players who earned pass
marks from that game. He played the full game, They
changed it around a wee bit, brought subs on and shifted
players out of position, but he was still there at the
end. He's a good, whole-hearted, hard-working player and
he has come on a lot. He's another youngster who we're
keeping out on loan because it's bringing him on a lot
and he wants to be playing regularly every week. There
will come a time when he comes back here and he will be
knocking on the door of the first team. We've got high
hopes for him, which is why he's just signed a new
three-year deal."
