The
time has come again when we have to ask Killie fans the world over to
dig into their pockets and either renew or take out membership for the
Killie Trust 2007/2008. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank our
current members for their support over the last year and encourage any
lapsed members and anyone else interested in the Trust to join up and
help us make a difference to our club and our community.
Over
the last year The Killie Trust’s Fifty for the Future campaign has
continued to contribute significantly towards the youth development
system and allowed the club to further invest in this important area.
FFTF has now provided funding in the region of £65,000 since it was
formed in 2005/06. Not only has this funding ensured that the Football
Club managed to retain the coaches and staff necessary for the success
of the youth system, but also that talented young players have been
secured by the Club and we look forward to seeing these players coming
through to the first team on a regular basis.

On
Friday 13th April this year The Trust held its first major event for
members. The Sportsman’s dinner took place in the Caprington Suite at
The Park Hotel and raised over £6,000 in aid of the FFTF campaign. Only
last month we held a youth football gala in partnership with Spirit
AeroSystems and Kilmarnock FC, which gave young players from all over
Ayrshire the opportunity to play on the hallowed turf. It also allowed
the youth coaches and staff of the club to look at some of the best
young players in the area at the same time!
We are
in the process of recruiting fans to work on a stadium taskforce in
order to help the club carry out essential maintenance works and
improvements to the stadium, if anyone is interested in helping out
throughout the season then please email
opsmanager@killietrust.org
Finally, who could forget ‘Fine Day’ with Rolf Harris. Unfortunately it
never helped us win the cup, however, it was a great source of
entertainment in the lead up to the final and we are sure some of you
are still playing it now!
Such
activities would not be possible without the continued support of our
members and that is why we need as many Killie fans as possible to sign
up and join us. Please find our membership cost for this season detailed
below we have managed to keep the prices the same as last season to
ensure value for money.
