- Davie Sneddon Street Party -

You will all be aware that killiefc.com played a part in the recent 'street naming' process by getting our members to vote on who should be in the final six candidates to get the new Rugby Park flats development named after them. The final vote went ahead at the Gretna game on Saturday and the results are now in...

The number of votes polled was pretty disappointing given the gravitas of the result and what it would mean to the recipients, but given the apathy surrounding the club at the moment we suppose that was to be expected.

The Killie Trust members manning the polls reported fans avoiding their station because they thought someone was after money...and even worse just shrugging them off as they "couldn't be bothered". Surely no more than an insult to some of the legendary club servants on the list.

The result was pretty tight given the results of the initial website poll but that could be down to the differing age ranges of members of the website compared to those fans going to the actual games. We'd like to pass on our thanks to all the fans who made the effort to vote and offer up our congratulations to a worthy winner...Davie Sneddon. Hopefully it won't be too long before some of our other legends are honoured in a similar fashion.
