Kilmarnock made three changes to the side, with French goalkeeper
Damien Rascle coming in for the suspened Alan Combe and Wright and Gibson
filling in for the injured Danny Invincible and Mehdi Taouil.
Falkirk's Scott
Arfield dragged a shot wide from the edge of the penalty area with the
first chance of the game.
Twelve minutes in, Kilmarnocks's Allan Russell had a hooked effort
blocked 18-yards out by Scobbie.
But the scoring was opened just before half time as McBride's long shot
deflected off Grant Murray into the path of Steve Lovell, who slotted the
ball beyond Rascle for his eighth goal of the season.
The game heated up after the break with little in the way of shots on
goal but a string of bookings for both sides.
But David Fernandez
(right) pulled the visitors level midway through the second half
heading beyond Robert Olejnik in the Falkirk goal.
Donovan Simmonds hit the bar 10 minutes from the end as Kilmarnock
applied a late wave of pressure and Skelton had an effort cleared off the
line in injury time.
