Killie now sit only three points above bottom club Falkirk.
McCarthy put his side in front with a diagonal shot beyond goalkeeper
Alan Combe.
Kilmarnock suffered further setbacks with injured duo David Lilley
and Danny Invincibile replaced by Frazer Wright and Willie Gibson,
respectively.
But the visitors rallied and Mehdi Taouil drew a save from Tomas
Cerny.
The Czech goalkeeper then made a comfortable save to deny David
Fernandez.
At the other end, Paul McGowan was narrowly off target for the home
side. Hamill volleyed into the arms of Cerny from Gibson's cross shortly
before half-time.
Killie threatened early in the second half through Tim Clancy but
Cerny claimed the looping shot.
Hamilton went further ahead when Offiong crossed for McCarthy to lash
home from the edge of the area.
A hopeful drive by Craig Bryson failed to trouble Cerny as Killie
tried to work their way back into the game.
And the visitors grabbed a late consolation after Easton had been
penalised as he attempted a clearance.
Jamie Hamill sent Cerny the wrong way to score but it
was too little, too late for Killie.
